US RaceTronics Debuts New Driver Lineup at 2017 LSTNA Season Opener

    Monrovia, Calif. (Tuesday, May 2, 2017) – US RaceTronics (USRT) heads to the 2017 Lamborghini Super Trofeo North American (LSTNA) season debut at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, TX with a new lineup of drivers for their three entries. 2016 third-place Pro-Am finisher Brian Thienes will pilot a single-driver entry in the Amateur category, while 2014 LST World Champion Edoardo Piscopo will co-drive the No. 50 Lamborghini of Beverly Hills Pro-Am entry with rookie Taylor Proto. Mark Proto (Taylor’s father) and Parris Mullins round out the driver lineup in the No. 88 Lamborghini of La Jolla entry.   Brian Thienes returns for his sophomore season with USRT after a successful 2016 campaign.     US RaceTronics’ Aghakani Scores Podium Finishes in First NASA Races

    Monrovia, California (Wednesday, March 22, 2017) – 13-year-old Steven Aghakani scored a podium finish in his first attempt at head-to-head racing at this past weekend’s NASA event at Willow Springs International Raceway. The Southern California native, who began testing with US RaceTronics last year, became the youngest participant to score a podium in the NASA Series.   NASA officials required Aghakani to compete in time trials so that they could observe the youth in an open passing atmosphere before granting approval for him to race on Saturday. Aghakani qualified second in a field of 22 and went on to finish second after driving a flawless race in the first of the two weekend races.   Aghakani again qualified second for Sunday’s race, improving on his previous qualifying time by 0.7 seconds.

    US RaceTronics to Run Aghakhani in NASA SoCal Regional Championship

    Buttonwillow, California (February 28, 2017) – US RaceTronics signed 13-year-old Steven Aghakhani for the 2017 race season. The young driver will be competing in the NASA (National Auto Sport Association) Southern California Region Championship. Aghakhani began his development training with USRT last season and quickly moved from the Lamborghini Gallardo to the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Huracán. He competed in and won several Global Time Attack events which focus on raw speed. 2017 will have Aghakhani competing in his first head to head against other drivers.  The rapid development of his race craft impressed the team as well as his driver coach, Bryce Miller. “When it comes down to it, door to door racing is what it is all about,” said Miller. “Everything we have done has been to get him (Steven) prepared
